Our mission

Kaburlu aims to provide timely, clear, and responsible news—especially local and regional reporting—while reducing misinformation and harmful content.

Content standards

• Accuracy: We try to verify key facts before publishing where feasible.
• Fairness: We aim to avoid misleading headlines and provide context.
• Safety: We do not allow hate speech, targeted harassment, or incitement to violence.
• Legality: We remove content that violates applicable laws or platform rules.

Verification process (high level)

• We may use multiple signals such as source credibility, supporting evidence (documents/media), and consistency across reports.
• Some breaking updates may be published quickly and updated as new information becomes available.

User-generated content (citizen reporter submissions)

• Citizen submissions may be moderated. We may limit reach, request clarification, or remove submissions that violate our policies.
• Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.

Hate / fake news policy

• We remove content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination against protected groups.
• We remove demonstrably false or manipulated content presented as news (including misleading edited media), especially when it risks public harm.

Corrections

If a significant factual error is found, we will make reasonable efforts to correct it. Corrections may include updating the content, adding a note, or removing the content where appropriate.
